Violating lockdown regulations: Over 600 arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st): Another 626 persons were arrested for violating the lockdown regulations yesterday (26). Accordingly, the total number arrested for violating lockdown regulations so far is 59,621. In addition, 1,095 people and 609 vehicles were inspected at the 13 roadblocks set up at the entry and exit points in the Western Province, the Police added. The imposed lockdown is due to continue until 30 August and those over the age of 60 have been discouraged from going outside.
