Sri Lanka requests India to prioritize oxygen supply

COLOMBO (News 1st); India has reiterated the assurance of all possible cooperation from to Sri Lanka in the fight against COVID19, as a close and friendly neighbour.

This was highlighted during a meeting between Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagley on Wednesday (25).

The Health Minister had requested that India consider the supply of medical grade oxygen to the island as a priority, while requesting the provision of Indian-made mobile oxygen unit be made available to Sri Lanka.

In addition, the Health Minister had requested for India's assistance in obtaining the Tocilizumad or Tozi medicine to Sri Lanka.
