Report on Teachers' salary anomalies to be presented to Cabinet today

COLOMBO (News 1st): The report of the Ministerial Sub Committee on the issue of Teachers' and Principals' salary anomalies is due to be presented to the Cabinet today (23). The Ministerial Sub-Committee, comprising of Ministers Mahinda Amaraweera, Wimal Weerawansa, Dullas Alahapperuma and Prasanna Ranatunga met with several representatives of the Teachers and Principals Unions last week. Represantative of Teachers and Principals Unions Joseph Starlin said last week that if a proper solution is not presented by the Cabinet of Ministers tomorrow (24), the unions will continue with the protests and union action.
