02nd dose of AstraZeneca administered at 02 vaccination centers in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka commenced administering the 02nd dose of the COVISHIELD AstraZeneca vaccine to all those above the age of 70 and living in Colombo 01 to Colombo 15.

Chief Medical Officer of the Colombo Municipal Council Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni speaking to News 1st said 10,500 people are eligible to obtain the second dose of the AstraZeneca Vaccine.

An SMS will be sent to those who are eligible to obtain the vaccine and entrance to the vaccination center is only permitted upon producing the SMS, NIC, and the Vaccination Card.

The second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be administered at 02 vaccination centers in Colombo on Monday (28).

Those from Colombo North and Colombo Central are requested to visit the Sugathadasa Stadium premises while Colombo East, Colombo West and Borella residents may visit the Sithumina Community Center in Kirulapone.
