X-Press Pearl insurers agreed to honor fisheries claim of Rs. 715 Mn

COLOMBO (News 1st); X-Press Pearl insurers, the P&I Club have agreed to honor the Sri Lankan fisheries clam of Rs. 715 million, submitted by the Attorney General.

The Attorney General's Department told News 1st that the money will be directly deposited to the Treasury Account.

The remainder of the Interim claim is being processed, said the AGs Dept.

A decision will be taken to select an International Adjuster cum Lawyer to survey the environmental damage and quantify the main and substantive claim, said the Attorney General's Department of Saturday (26).
