2,909 COVID infections on Saturday (22); Colombo records 556 COVID cases

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka recorded a total of 2,909 COVID-19 cases on Saturday (22), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
2,906 of these cases were from the Post-New Year Cluster and the 03 remaining cases were those tested positive for the coronavirus after returning from overseas.
The highest number of 556 COVID-19 cases were reported from the Colombo District while Kalutara recorded 407 COVID-19 cases on Saturday (22).
