Grace period offered to pay traffic fines due to COVID-19 restrictions

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Finance Secretary has approved to grant a grace period to settle traffic fines imposed by Sri Lanka Police on or after the 05th of April 2021.

Sri Lanka Post in a statement said this grace period is offered due to motorists being unable to pay fine on time due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Accordingly, fines can be paid via all post offices or sub-post offices without subject to any penalty during the grace period.
