A-PAD Sri Lanka facilitates donation of Rs. 08 Mn worth medical equipment to fight COVID

COLOMBO (News 1st); In response to the 3^rd wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rs. 8 Million worth of medical equipment including ventilators and oxygen machines was donated to the health sector on Thursday (20). The initiative was facilitated by A-PAD Sri Lanka and the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) in response to a request made by the Government in catering to identified medical needs of treatment centres in Gampaha District .

As such, medical essentials were handed over to Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control in the presence of Major Gen. Sudantha Ranasinghe, Director General, DMC and Firzan Hashim,Country Director, A-PAD SL at A-PAD Office.
