Debate on Port City Economic Commission Bill, postponed

COLOMBO (News 1st); The parliamentary debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill scheduled for Wednesday (05) will not go ahead as planned as the Supreme Court determination of the bill is yet to be received by the speaker.

The decision to postpone the debate was made at the party leaders' meeting on Tuesday (04). Speaking to News 1st, speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena confirmed the decision to postpone the debate.
