A/L Results within a week & decision to re-open schools this weekend

COLOMBO (News 1st); The results of the 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination will be released within a week, said Education Minister Professor G. L. Peiris on Wednesday (28).

The Sri Lankan Government already decided to close all schools, pre-schools, piriven institutions, and tuition classes with immediate effect to the 30th of April. "We are reviewing the country's situation on a daily basis," said the Education Minister adding a decision will be made on the 02nd of May with regard to re-opening schools, pre-schools, piriven institutions. The Education Minister noted the government however hopes to re-open universities on the 10th of May and until then all lectures will be carried out online.
