'Haritha TV' launched by Gangaramaya Temple

COLOMBO (News1st): A new television channel named 'Haritha TV' was launched by the Sri Jinarathana Educational Institute of the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple today. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa attended the launch of Haritha TV, which also saw the attendance by senior members of the Buddhist clergy. The objective of the newly-launched television channel is to disseminate information relating to agriculture and prosperity. Speaking at the event, Ven. (Dr.) Kirinde Assaji Thero of the Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple stated that he hopes the channel be a 'successful exercise' with the aim of creating a prosperous agricultural economy centred around religion. The President also launched the website of Haritha TV and the theme song of the channel during the event.
