Colombo (News 1st); The UN Core Group resolution against Sri Lanka was adopted at the 46th UNHRC Session on Tuesday (23).

Accordingly, 22 member states voted in favor of the resolution while 11 member states voted against the resolution. 14 member states, including India abstained from voting. The countries that voted in favor of the resolution are : Argentina Armenia Austria Bahamas Brazil Bulgaria Ivory Coast Czech Republic Denmark Fiji France Germany Italy Malawi Marshall Islands Mexico Netherlands Poland Republic of Korea Ukraine United Kingdom Britain and Northern Island Uruguay The countries that voted against the resolution are; Venezuela Uzbekistan Somalia Russian Federation Pakistan Philippines Eritrea Cuba China Bangladesh Bolivia The countries that abstained from voting are; Togo Sudan Senegal Nepal Namibia Mauritania Indonesia India Gabon Bahrain Burkina Faso Cameroon Japan Libya
