Colombo (News 1st); The report of the Committee appointed to study in-depth the facts and recommendations on the course of action contained in the final report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) on the 2019 April 21st Attacks and the report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Security, will be submitted in two weeks. The announcement was made on Tuesday (16) by Joint Cabinet Spokesperson & Minister (Dr.) Ramesh Pathirana at the cabinet media briefing. He also said the necessary documentation including confidential material dubbed as the X-Files, was forwarded to the Attorney General for legal action to be taken. Further, the cabinet will NOT rush into taking a decision on imposing a ban on the Burka, said Cabinet Spokesperson & Minister, Keheliya Rambukwella. “We have to think about all the aspects regarding this matter and all authorities including the Minister of Public Security will be discussing it," he said adding the time will be decided on following necessary dialogue.
