Harshana Rajakaruna's selfie with Ranjan lands jailor in hot water

Colombo (News 1st); A selfie taken by Parliamentarian Harshana Rajakaruna with Ranjan Ramanayake in prison had landed a prison jailor in hot water.

Commissioner General of Prisons Thushara Upuldeniya speaking to reporters said a preliminary investigation is underway and the Jailor who accompanied the visitors will be held responsible for the incident. "The Jailor in question was interdicted and necessary steps will be taken against the inmate in question as per the prison's ordinance," said Upuldeniya. He said the respective subject minister was informed of the incident, and the Speaker would be made aware of it via the ministers.
