Colombo (News 1st); Health authorities have urged the general public to consult a doctor if a fever lasts for more than 48 hours of being given the COVID-19 vaccine.
Deputy Director-General of Public Health Services Doctor Hemantha Herath said if fever
persists
it could be because of another illness, such as dengue which is spreading at present.
Therefore, it is paramount to seek medical assistance if not complications could arise from dengue or other illnesses
The two deaths reported from the Gampaha
District
were not caused by complications from the COVID-19 vaccine, stressed Deputy Director-General of Public Health Services Doctor Hemantha Herath adding they died of other diseases.
