COLOMBO (News 1st): The Government of Russia has agreed to provide 300,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccines to Sri Lanka, free of charge, Rohitha Uduwawla, the Secretary to the State Ministry of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals confirmed to News 1st on Thursday (Mar. 04).
The National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) on Thursday (Mar. 04) granted approval for the emergency use of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine, against COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, NMRA officials said.
The approval to use Russia's Sputnik V Vaccine for emergency use in the country was sought by the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation of Sri Lanka.
