Artefacts in Galenbindunuwewa at risk

COLOMBO (News1st): Artefacts in Galenbindunuwewa that have missed the eye of archaeologists are facing a risk at present. These artefacts at the Andagala reserve have been destroyed while clearing lands in the area. "The ruins of a staircase were present here. This area contained the ruins of a palace. But they have damaged the artefacts here.  Treasure hunters have destroyed this site recently," one resident said. Residents insist that authorities must pay attention to the conservation of these artefacts. "Even though the authorities were informed, it has not served a purpose," another resident lamented.
