Colombo (News 1st); The lessons I learnt in cricket helped me in politics, said Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the commissioning of the “Imran Khan High-Performance Sports Centre” in Colombo.
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan who was on an official visit to Sri Lanka told a gathering in Colombo that when he came into politics, it was like his first-ever test match, adding his party was wiped out at the elections.
"I started alone, with no political background or politicians and I started with very few people. For 14 years I was alone. So it was the lessons I learn in cricket that helped me in politics. The key lesson is that you only lose when you give up. As long as you don't give up, defeat cannot make you lose," said the Pakistan Prime Minister.
