Two students hospitalized after a scuffle at school

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two students were admitted to hospital on Wednesday (Feb. 17) after an altercation between two groups of students at the Pannala National School, police said. According to Police, one student had sustained stab wounds in the leg, while the other student sustained minor injuries; both are receiving treatment at the Dambadeniya Hospital. The two students are from Grade 12 and Grade 13. An incident of bringing a mobile phone to school was the cause of the clash, police said. Further investigations are underway into the incident.
