Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm to be reacquired soon: Min. Gammanpila

COLOMBO (News 1st): Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Udaya Gammanpila says successful discussions were held with Indian High Commissioner - Gopal Bagley, to reacquire the Trincomalee Oil Tank Farm. Minister of Energy Udaya Gammanpila confirmed this to the media during an event held in Kolonnawa today (17) He added that the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka was in agreement with all conditions put forward by Sri Lanka regarding the matter. "They agreed to leave aside the conditions of the agreement reached in 2017 regarding the oil tank farm and go forward with the conditions we provided" noted the Minister.
