News 1st | Colombo: The Intelligence Agencies in the country are strong says the Minister of Public Security Retired Rear Admiral Sarath Weerasekara said today (17). The Minister was speaking about the controversial energy projects carried out in the Northern Islands by Chinese Companies. "We cannot leave aside development and think only about security. We cannot risk our security and carry out development. There should be a balance" the Minister said. He added that when the intelligence agencies in the country are strong, the national security also becomes strong.
