COLOMBO (News 1st): The Cabinet Negotiations Committee appointed for the West Container Terminal at the Colombo Port has decided to inform India and Japan to name a partner for investment in the proposed West Terminal at the Colombo Port.
The decision was reached when the committee convened for the first time on Monday (Feb. 15), Chairman of the Cabinet Negotiations Committee, U.D.C. Jayalal, the Chairman of the Committee told News 1st on Tuesday (Feb. 16).
The Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka and the Embassy of Japan in Sri Lanka, will be informed of the decision officially, he further noted.
The Cabinet Negotiations Committee consists of seven members, and will it is scheduled to convene again on Friday (Feb. 19).
The committee report with regard to the West Container Terminal at Colombo Port, will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers soon, U.D.C. Jayalal, the Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and Shipping added.
