Wimal Weerawansa to lead discussion against ECT sale

Colombo (News 1st); The National Freedom Front on Friday (29) announced Minister Wimal Weerawansa has extended an invitation to 05 separate political parties to take a strong decision if a cabinet paper is put forward to Monday's cabinet meeting on the sale of the East Container Terminal.

According to a statement, Wimal Weerawansa had phoned the leaders of 05 political parties affiliated with the Sri Lanka Nidahas Podujana Sandanaya. A discussion on the matter is expected to take place at Wimal Weeerawansa's official resident in Colombo on Saturday (30). Leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya Udaya Gammanpila, General Secretary of the Lanka Sama Samaja Party Professor Tissa Vitharana, General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Communist Party Dr. G. Weerasinghe, Leader of the Sri Lanka Mahajana Party Asanka Nawaratne, and Leader of the Eksath Mahajana Party Tiran Alles have been invited for the meeting.
