COLOMBO (News1st): Schools in the Western province will be reopened on Monday for students facing the upcoming G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination, officials said.
Academic sessions will resume in keeping with health guidelines due to COVID-19, education secretary Prof. Kapila Perera noted.
State-run "Sisu Seriya" school buses will be deployed as required, state minister of bus transport services Dilum Amunugama told media.
Arrangements have been made to curb the spread of mosquitos in schools, the National Dengue Control Unit's director Dr. Aruna Jayasekara added.
He observed that lesser dengue cases have been reported in the country during the last 10 months.
