FEMALE DRUG TRAFFICKER NABBED FROM WANATHAMULLA

Colombo (News 1st); A 59-year-old woman was arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau from the Sirisanda Uyana Housing Scheme in Wanathamulla, Borella for the possession of heroin and cash.

1.6 kg of heroin and Rs. 610,000 was recovered from the possession of the suspect and investigations revealed she is a drug trafficker in the area.

Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the suspect will be produced to the Maligakanda Magistrate on Sunday (17) and the Police Narcotic Bureau will be seek a 07 day detention order to interrogate the suspect.
