Colombo (News 1st): The Director General of Health Services confirmed three deaths caused by Covid19 virus infection. Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 232.
01.The deceased is a 62 year old male inmate from Negombo Prison. He was transferred from Negombo General Hospital to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital where he died on 08.01.2021.The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia.
02.The deceased is an 80 year old female from Colombo-14. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 virus and transferred from Apeksha Hospital Maharagama to Pimbura Base Hospital where she died on 10.01.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as a cancer and Covid pneumonia.
03. The deceased is a 64 year old male from Rathnapura. He died on 09.01.2021 while undergoing treatments at Rathnapura Teaching Hospital. The cause of death is Covid pneumonia and a heart disease.
