GUIDELINES RELEASED FOR MANAGING TOURISTS

Colombo (News 1st); The Ministry of Health released guidelines for managing tourists during the proposed pilot project period on Thursday (07).

These guidelines are only applicable for the duration of the pilot project for bringing tourists under controlled conditions.

The pilot project will commence on the date declared by the Ministry of Tourism in consultation with the Ministry of Health.

The arrival of tourists would be limited to a duration of one week during which a maximum of 300 passengers will be allowed into the country on every other day, said the Health Ministry adding only a single flight per day would be allowed except for one day during this week, where a maximum of two flights with tourists will be allowed.

The entire process will be monitored by the Ministries of Health and Tourism jointly until the end day of the quarantine process of the staff involved.
