GR. 11 CLASSES TO COMMENCE FROM JAN 25TH

Colombo (News 1st); Grade 11 classes at all schools excluding those in isolated areas will commence on the 25th of January 2021, announced Education Minister, Professor G. L. Peiris, on Monday (04).

This is in order to pave the way for the students to prepare for the G. C. E. Ordinary Level examination, scheduled for May 2021 and the results will be released in June, he said adding G. C. E. Advanced Level classes will commence in July 2021.

The re-opening of schools is taking place based on the program prepared by the necessary stakeholders in the country, said the Education Minister.

Further, primary grades at all schools excluding those in the Western Province and isolated areas will commence academic activities on the 11th of January 2021, he added.

Pre-schools also will follow the same process, said the Education Minister.
