MoF implements incentive scheme for Sri Lankans working overseas.

COLOMBO(News1st): As proposed through the 2021 Budget Proposal, the Ministry of Finance has implemented a scheme to provide incentives to Sri Lankans employed overseas. The scheme will pay Rs.2 per USD when such employees or their beneficiaries covert such remittances of earnings into Sri Lankan Rupees. The necessary instructions on the implementation process will be issued by the CBSL. The CBSL has invited all Sri Lankans employed overseas to avail themselves of this opportunity and to remit their funds through secure sources.
