Mahara Prison Riot Interim Report submitted to Justice Minister

Colombo (News 1st); The interim report of the committee appointed by the Minister of Justice Mohamed Ali Sabri, PC to look into the recent Riot at the Mahara Prison, was handed over to the President's Counsel Mohamed Ali Sabri on Monday (07).

Former High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena, Chairperson of the Committee, handed over the relevant interim report to the Minister.

Prisons Commissioner Gamini Jayasinghe and retired Senior DIG DRL Ranaweera were also present.
