COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 75,000 people are currently being evacuated to safer locations as the Eastern province braces for Cyclone Burevi, the District Secretary of Trincomalee said on Wednesday (Dec. 02).
According to Trincomalee District Secretary, these people will be evacuated to 237 relief centres.
Cyclone Burevi is expected to make landfall in Sri Lanka's Eastern Coast between 7:00 to 10:00 pm today (Dec. 02), the Department of Meteorology said.
