Most Ven. Makulewe Vimalabhidana Thero appointed as Mahanayake of Sri Lanka Ramanna Sect

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Most Venerable Makulewe Vimalabhidana Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Minioluwa Vidyawasa Maha Priven was appointed as the new Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Sect, on Sunday (Nov. 22). The appointment has been made following the demise of the Most Venerable Napane Pemasiri Thero, Former Mahanayake of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Sect. The Most Venerable Napane Pemasiri Thero passed away at the age of 98, on the 17th of November. The final rites of the Late Most Venerable Napane Pemasiri Thero will be carried out today (Nov 22), at the S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike School Grounds in Kundasale, under state patronage.
