COVID-19 infected mother & son leave IDH without authorization

Colombo (News 1st); A COVID-19 infected woman and her 2 1/2-year-old son had left the Infectious Diseases Hospital on Thursday (19) night without authorization, said Sri Lanka Police.

Deputy Police Chief Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the woman had gone to her residence in Eheliyagoda, handed over her son to her family, and fled the area.

He said the family members were moved into immediate quarantine.

DIG Ajith Rohana said a police investigation is underway to locate the missing woman.
