Gazette declaring Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurveda Institute a university, issued

The gazette was issued by Professor G. L. Peiris, Minister of Education in consultation with the University Grants Commission by virtue of the powers vested by Section 21 of the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978.

Accordingly, The Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, Sri Lanka will come in to effect from March 01st, 2021, for the purpose of providing, promoting, and developing Higher Education in the Branches of learning of Indigenous Medicine, Indigenous Health Sciences and Technology, and Indigenous Social Sciences and Management Studies.
