50 new COVID-19 cases from Minuwangoda Cluster

Colombo (News 1st); 50 new COVID-19 cases reported today (22), confirmed Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who is also the Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
According to the Department of Government 22 of these cases were employees attached to 02 factories located at the Katunayake Trade Zone.
06 cases are from the Peliyagoda Fish Market, it added.
The other 22 cases which were detected are close contacts of COVID-19 cases reported from the Minuwangoda Cluster.
Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 cases reported from the Minuwangoda Cluster is at 2,558.
