COLOMBO (News 1st): An examination invigilator has been arrested for allegedly answering a question paper of a student at an Advanced Level examination center in the Wadduwa area.
According to the Police, investigations are underway regarding a complaint lodged by the headmaster.
Meanwhile, complaints have been received regarding examination frauds and irregularities from A/L examination centres in Kalutara, Colombo, Gampaha, and Negombo, Commissioner General of Examinations Sanath B. Pujitha said.
He added a complaint has been lodged with the CID regarding the incident.
Strict measures will be taken to prevent fraud and malpractices taking place during examinations, the Commissioner-General of Examinations stated.
He said the results of students who are involved in cheating in the examinations will be suspended and strict legal action will be taken against exam invigilators who assist and aid in exam fraud.
