COLOMBO (News1st): Two associates of an Indian drug racketeer have been arrested by the police over charges of narcotic racketeering.
Police said that the racket had been carried out with the assistance of the Ez Cash transaction method.
Investigations have revealed that the suspects had earned 450 million rupees through the racket and that they had engaged in financial transactions involving a drug baron in India.
The suspects which include a female have been identified as a 38 and a 45 year old.
According to the police, the suspects have been engaged in the racket in several areas including Seeduwa for a very long time.
Police added that the suspects are being interrogated on a seven-day detention order.
