Vehicle Importers say prices increased due to import restrictions

Colombo (News 1st); The Vehicle Importers Association of Sri Lanka said prices of vehicles in Sri Lanka have increased at a rapid pace.
Speaking to News 1st Sri Lanka Motor Vehicle Importers' Association president Indika Sampath Merinchige said the suspension of vehicle imports and high local demand can be attributed as reasons for the price increase.
He said the price of a vehicle had increased by Rs. 100,000/- to Rs. 500,000/-.
