Colombo (News 1st); Ruwan Wijewardene was elected as the Deputy Leader of the United National Party following a vote at Monday (14) evening's UNP Working Committee meeting.
Ex-Parliamentarians Ravi Karunanayake and Ruwan Wijewardene were nominated for the post and Wijewardene was elected as Deputy Leader of the UNP with a majority vote.
Ex-Minister Vajira Abeywardene said Ranil Wickremesinghe would remain as Party Leader until January 2021.
