Colombo (News 1st); The Ceylon Electricity Board in a statement this evening said it is currently experiencing a severe energy/capacity deficit due to the unavailability of Lakvijaya Power Plant subsequent to the total power failure which occurred on 17th August 2020.\

Accordingly, the daily power cut will be divided as Day Time ( 01 hour 45 minutes) & Night Time ( 01 hour) and one Saturday a power cut will last only for 01 hour.
