Individual sentenced to death over 2001 abduction and murder

Colombo (News 1st); An accused found guilty of abducting an individual in a three-wheeler and beating him to death along with another group in 2001 was sentenced to death by Colombo High Court Judge Dhammika Ganepola on Thursday (30).
The High Court Judge ruled the charges against the accused over the abduction and murder of an individual known as Wickremesinghege Sumith on the 08th of June 2001 or a closer date in Mattakuliya, were proven by the prosecution beyond reasonable doubt.
