Court orders handover of documents on demolished archaeological site

Colombo (News 1st); The Kurunegala Magistrate's Court on Tuesday (28) ordered the Kurunegala Mayor to handover all files pertaining to the destructed archeological site in Kurunegala for the safe custody of Court.
State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne, the Coordinating Officer to the Attorney General speaking to News 1st said the order was made following an application made by the Attorney General and the application highlighted 10 specific documents.
Further, the Kurunegala Magistrate ordered the Governor of the North-Western Province to handover all files & Minutes of the City Development Committee to the safe custody of Court
