Prabhakaran said he wanted to have TNA leaders killed; Karuna regrets not doing so

Colombo (News 1st); Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias ‘Karuna Amman’, the leader of the Tamil United Freedom Front said it was he who created the Tamil National Alliance or the TNA.

Speaking at an event, 'Karuna Amman' said at the time a journalist by the name of Sivaram approached him with a proposal to show the world the real situation of the war and about the influence in Parliament.

I informed my leadership about it and he asked if I am attempting to bring together all those listed down to be assassinated by the LTTE at the time, said Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan.

Karuna Amman said it was a mistake to form the TNA adding the wishes of the leadership should have been fulfilled back then.

The TUFF leader went on to note when the TNA was summoned the leadership stressed Sampanthan should lead the alliance.

Karuna Amman said at present Sampanthan says the TNA has no link with the LTTE adding the latter in his prime does not know what he speaks of.

Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias ‘Karuna Amman’ questioned if the people need a leader such as Sampanthan.
