COLOMBO (News 1st): The Criminal Investigation Department has seized four vehicles belonging to the four officers from the Police Narcotics Bureau who were arrested by the CID.
This was after information revealed on the vehicles including two vans and an SUV being used for trafficking drugs.
"A T-56 magazine was also taken into custody from the possession of the PNB officers in question," Sri Lanka Police said on Wednesday (July 1).
According to Sri Lanka Police, a sum of 31.45 million rupees has so far been discovered from the suspects' possession; another 100,000 rupees belonging to the suspects were discovered from Karandeniya.
The suspects are currently detained and under interrogation.
The four PNB officers were interdicted.
