Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Elections Chief Mahinda Deshapriya issued an order to immediately seize more than 05 official vehicles which were not returned by Ex-Ministers and MPs.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Deshapriya said these vehicles were to be returned to the state on the 02nd of March, and yet some Ex-MPs and Ex-Ministers have failed to do so.

He said as State Ministers no longer exist, official vehicles must be returned.

He went on to note after the vehicles are seized and if it is proven they violated the law, there is a high possibility of the said politicians to lose their respective seats following the polls.
