COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka rise to 1859

COLOMBO (News 1st): The total number of recoveries in Sri Lanka has increased to 1122 with 62 patients recovering today. The total number of confirmed COVID 19 cases is currently at 1859. 2 new cases were confirmed on Tuesday (June 09). The cases include one a Navy sailor and another a returnee from Doha Qatar. 791 patients continue to receive treatment in hospitals. Meanwhile, 57 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday. Accordingly, the total number of recoveries in the island has increased to 1122.
