DIG Ajith Rohana elaborates on the relaxation of curfew while quarantine laws are still in effect

Colombo (News 1st): Curfew in Colombo and Gampaha districts will be lifted from Tuesday morning (26th) for the first time in two months as part of the Government's move to normalise the country, officials said on Monday. Issuing a media release the President's Office noted, the islandwide curfew which is currently in effect will be relaxed from tomorrow (26th) Thereafter, curfew will be imposed across the island from 10 pm to 4 am daily until further notice. DIG Ajith Rohana asked the general public to maintain social distancing and adhere to health guidelines when the curfew is relaxed while quarantine laws are still in effect. Director-General of Health services Dr Anil Jasinghe had issued a circular, enabling police to take action/arrest those who do not maintain social distance measures from tomorrow. https://youtu.be/CvNc_iin56U
