MOH and 09 PHIs tested negative for COVID-19

Colombo (News 1st); The Medical Officer of Health or MOH for the Central Colombo Number 02 Office and 09 Public Health Inspectors were directed to self-quarantine. The move was as they were involved in the detection of COVID-19 patients from Bandaranaike Mawatha in Colombo 12. CMC's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni speaking to News 1st said the officers in question requested to go into self-quarantine adding they rendered a great service to detect the COVID-19 patients and move over 1000 people to quarantine. He said the personnel were subject to PCR tests to ascertain if they had contracted the virus during the process and the results showed they tested negative for COVID-19.
