Colombo (News 1st);  Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva speaking to reporters said 149 people were released from quarantine facilities operated by the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Navy. Accordingly, 4348 have thus been released from quarantine while 1582 remain in quarantine. The Army Commander said following the increase in COVID-19 patients from Keselwatte in Colombo, 242 people from the area were taken away for quarantine while 1010 people from 242 families were taken away for quarantine at three facilities operated by the Sri Lanka Army. On a separate note, 106 Sri Lankans who were stranded in Pakistan are to be brought to Sri Lanka aboard flight UL1206 of SriLankan Airlines today. They include Sri Lankan students and Military personnel who were in Pakistan for training purposes. All those who arrive in the country will be moved into mandatory quarantine.
