Colombo (News 1st) ; Curfew which was imposed for 19 districts (Excluding Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Jaffna and Puttlam) was extended to 06 AM on the 16th of April, where it will be relaxed and re-imposed at 04 PM the same day.
Earlier, it was announced the curfew for those 19 districts will be relaxed at 06 AM on the 14th of April, however, the decision had thus been reversed.
A statement from the President's Media Division said the curfew for Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kandy, Jaffna and Puttlam districts will be in effect until further notice.
The areas which were classified as isolated areas, will continue to remain isolated until further notice.
The statement re-emphasized movement between districts is strictly prohibited and the law will be strictly enforced against those who abuse the mechanism in-place to to continue with essential services.
